Year-Long Investigation Leads To Auto Theft Charge For Area Man A Pleasant Valley man was arrested for alleged auto theft following a yearlong investigation into the incident. Matthew R. Mcclay, 22, was charged Friday, June 14, in connection with the incident that allegedly took place in April 2018, said Rhinebeck Police Sgt. Peter Dunn. Mcclay was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, forgery of a vehicle ID number, auto stripping and unauthorized use of a vehicle, Dunn said. He was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $1,500 cash bail. Mcclay is scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
