Thousands Still Without Power After Severe Storms Slam Long Island Power officials are bringing in extra crews and working non stop to restore power to tens of thousands of Long Island residents still without power following Sunday's powerful storms. As of 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 1, there were 22,885 customers without power across Long Island, said PSEG Long Island spokesman Marko Cucci.  Suffolk County was hit the hardest.
