Suspects Caught, Cash Recovered After TD Bank Armed Robbery In Bridgeport An alleged bank robber was caught after he fled the scene with a bag of cash, Bridgeport Police said. The incident took place around 10:27 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, when police received a 911 call that the TD Bank at 975 Madison Ave., was being robbed, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. The employee who called 911 was able to provide police with enough information for responding officers to quickly identify a fleeing vehicle as belonging to the alleged robber, police said. Woman Killed In Miller Place Hit-Run Reportedly Knew Suspect A woman killed during a hit-and-run crash reportedly knew the man who was arrested for the crime. Mary Ginty, 31, of South Beach, was found dead on Monday, June 24, in front of 55 Miller Place Road, after being hit by a Hyundai driven by John Lang of Ridge, said the Suffolk County Police. Cause Of Death Released For Glen Cove Pizzeria Owner Vacationing In Dominican Republic Details on the death of a longtime owner of a Long Island pizzeria who died in the Dominican Republic have been released. Vittorio Caruso, 56, of Glen Cove died Monday, June 17, shortly after he reportedly drank something and became critically ill in Santo Domingo at the Boca Chica Resort. Support Pours In For Family Whose Home Was Destroyed In Fire A Warwick family who lost everything it owns during a house fire is being helped by the community through a GoFundMe page. Bobcat Enters Residence After Attacking Dog In Area A bobcat ran inside an area home after it attacked a family dog, causing wildlife officials to euthanize the animal.
