Separate House Fires Displace 22 In Bridgeport Two early morning fires displaced 22 people when flames ripped through two residences in Bridgeport. The first fire took place around midnight, Wednesday, July 3, at 873 Kossuth St., and left six people homeless, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the City of Bridgeport. First units on the scene reported a fire on the second-floor porch. One occupant was transported to the hospital, he added.  No firefighters were injured and the fire marshals bureau is conducting their investigation.
