She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Stolen Car Found In Pond Off Southern State Parkway, Police Say A car found in North Pond at Hempstead Lake State Park was stolen in Queens, state park police said. The 2019 Chevrolet Suburban was reported submerged in the pond around 5:41 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 13 by the Nassau County 911 Center, said the New York State Park Police. Bicyclist Killed In Crash Near Food Mart In Area, Police Say A Town of Poughkeepsie bicyclist died after being hit by a vehicle on Vassar Road. The crash took place around 6:35 p.m., Monday, Aug. 12, on Vassar Road, near the Dimpy's Food Mart at 401 Vassar Road, said the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Lt. Michael O’Dowd. Missing Roofer Located 'Safe And Sound,' Police Say A Stamford man who had been missing for days after leaving a Shippan bar has been located. The Stamford Police Department said Tuesday, Aug. 13, that Mariusz “Marco” Gibas, 37, "had been found safe and sound." The rescue took place on Saturday, Aug. 10, when Greenwich Marine Police received a call from boaters that there was a person in the water in distress in the area of Calf Island, said Greenwich Police Lt.
