Four Nabbed For Vandalizing Numerous Buildings With Graffiti In Area, Police Say Four men have been arrested for allegedly "tagging" and spray painting graffiti on numerous buildings in Beacon. The four, John P. Skivington, 24, Bryan D. Nava, 27, Niko O. Beckles, 24, all of New Windsor, and Carlos Reyes, 21, of Newburgh, were arrested on various dates following the damage discovered on Dec. 23 on Main Street, said Det. Lt. Two Workers Rescued After Trench Collapses In Area Emergency workers are on the scene of a trench collapse that trapped two workers. The incident took place just after 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10, in front of a home on Dwight Street, reported Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison. The men were reportedly working on a sewer line and were in a trench about 10-feet deep when it collapsed. Bridgeport's First Homicide Victim Of Year Identified Bridgeport's first homicide victim of 2020 has been identified by police. Abdul Hassan Lemon, 38, of Bridgeport, was found lying on Remington Street around 1:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 10, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald. Police responded to the area after receiving notification of shots fired from the Shotspotter system, as well as calls from area residents, Fitzgerald said. Once on the scene, officers found Lemon lying in the street suffering from several gunshot wounds, he added. ID Released For Woman Killed In Palisades Center Mall Two-Vehicle Crash A woman who was killed during a two-vehicle crash at the Palisades Center mall has been identified. Diane E Brothers, 66, of Fredricksburg, Virginia, was killed around 1:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, on Palisades Center Drive at the mall in West Nyack, said Clarkstown Police Department spokesman Officer Norman Peters. The cause of death is undetermined at this time, Peters said. Additional details regarding the crash were not released. The fatal crash closed several roadways, in addition to the BJ's store to allow for an investigation.
