She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Norwalk Disturbance, Stolen Motor Vehicle Lead To Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting A disturbance in Norwalk with a man armed with a knife at an AT&T store and then a carjacking ended with the suspect being shot to death by police. The incident began around 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the AT&T store on Route 7 in Norwalk, said Norwalk Police Lt. Jared Zwickler. Long Island Man Nabbed In Stolen Pickup Following Pursuit, Police Say A Long Island man has been arrested for alleged grand larceny after being stopped in a stolen pickup truck. Ryan Buonauro, 23, of East Meadow, was arrested around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, after the Hempstead Police attempted to stop a suspicious red pickup truck in Merrick, said the Nassau County Police. Area Physician Assistant Charged With Forcibly Touching Patient, Police Say An area physician assistant has been arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching a patient's breast during a doctor's visit. Sean Cavanaugh, 44, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 13, for an incident which took place on July 3, 2019, said New Windsor Police Deputy Chief Michael Farbent. Teen Threatened Students At New Canaan High School, Police Say A 16-year-old teen has been charged with breach of peace after allegedly making a threat against students at New Canaan High School. The incident took place around 12:45 p.m., Monday, Jan. 13, when the school's resource officer received a complaint regarding the teen, said New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro. 'Illicit' Photos Of Area Female HS Students Shared On Snapchat, Police Say Police are working to find the person who posted private photos of some 30 female students on various Snapchat accounts. Town of Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson said his department received information on Sunday, Jan. 12, from several students at FDR High School. Two Teen Suspects Nabbed In Westchester School Burglary Two teens were arrested after allegedly breaking into a school and taking more than $1,400 in stolen electronic items. The incident took place around 10 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14 in the village of Hastings-on-Hudson at the Graham School, said Hasting-on-Hudson Police Chief David Dosin. ID Released For 27-Year-Old Killed In Drive-By Long Island Shooting A 27-year-old man shot and killed outside of a Long Island home has been identified. Justin Gottlieb of Plainview was killed during a drive-by shooting around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, on Margaret Drive East in Plainview, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, officers responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting and located Gottlieb, who had been shot multiple times. Greenwich Police Asking For Help Locating Dog That Bit Child Police are asking the public for identifying a woman and her dog that bit a Greenwich child who is now facing a series of preventative rabies shots. The incident took on Sunday, Jan. 12 at Binney Park when the dog bit the child, causing minor injuries, said Greenwich Police.
