Long Island Man Nabbed In Stolen Pickup Following Pursuit, Police Say
A Long Island man has been arrested for alleged grand larceny after being stopped in a stolen pickup truck.
Ryan Buonauro, 23, of East Meadow, was arrested around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, after the Hempstead Police attempted to stop a suspicious red pickup truck in Merrick, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, when the Hempstead Police Department determined the vehicle had been reported stolen and attempted to conduct a stop, the vehicle fled in a "reckless manner."

Area Physician Assistant Charged With Forcibly Touching Patient, Police Say
An area physician assistant has been arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching a patient's breast during a doctor's visit.
Sean Cavanaugh, 44, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 13, for an incident which took place on July 3, 2019, said New Windsor Police Deputy Chief Michael Farbent.
According to the chief, the victim went for a follow-up appointment with Cavanaugh at Vitality Psychiatry Group Practice located at 3125 Route 9W in New Windsor.

An area man had a lucky Friday when he spent $10 on a lottery ticket at a Fairfield County store and walked out the door a $100,000 richer.
Carlos De Souza of Milford purchased a Casino Royale scratch-off ticket at Pam’s Variety Store in Bridgeport on Friday, Jan. 10 and was an instant winner, according to CT lottery officials.
