The incident occurred around 8:20 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, when Greenburgh Police and EMS units responded to Central Park Avenue near Campus Place for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle, said Greenburgh Police Lt. Norwalk Police Officer Dies After Battling Cancer Norwalk Police are mourning the loss of Officer Cesar Ramirez, a 32-year veteran of the department, who died following a short battle with brain cancer.  Ramirez, 71, who died Tuesday, Jan. 21, had dedicated his career to his community was well known by the residents and business owners, a GoFundMe page said.
