Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Road Closure In Area State police are on the scene of a crash in which a piece of equipment fell off of a tractor-trailer during a rollover crash. The crash took place in Sullivan County after 8 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, on Rock Hill Drive in Rock Hill, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Only the tractor-trailer was involved with the incident, Nevel said. Troopers on the scene are still gathering information, but there are no fatal injuries, Nevel said. Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Long Island Building A 68-year-old man was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing his vehicle into a building. The incident took place around 12:40 a.m., Monday, Feb. 24, at 100 Carleton Avenue in East Islip, said the Suffolk County Police. Conrad Levesque, of Central Islip, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche on Union Boulevard when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a vacant commercial building, police said. 32-Year-Old Man Killed In Overnight I-95 Crash A 32-year-old area man was killed during a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on I-95. Jesse Stotz, of Wallingford, was killed around 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, after losing control of his motorcycle on the northbound side in West Haven, said the Connecticut State Police. According to state police, Stotz was negotiating a right curve, when he lost control and skidded. The motorcycle then hit the pavement, ejecting Stotz from the motorcycle. Firefighters Rescue Six From Pond After Falling Through Ice Six people were rescued from an icy pond after falling through thin ice. The incident took place around 11 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 23, at Burr Mountain Pond in Torrington, said the Torrington Fire Department.
