Library Stabbing Suspect Indicted On Murder Charge As Victim Is Laid To Rest
As library security officer Sandra Wilson was being laid to rest, a grand jury indicted her alleged killer for one count of murder.
Blanchard Glaudin, 25 and homeless, was indicted on Monday, Feb. 24, in connection with the Tuesday, Feb. 18, stabbing death of 52-year-old Sandra Wilson of Spring Valley at the Finkelstein Memorial Library, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II.

32-Year-Old Man Killed In Overnight I-95 Crash
A 32-year-old area man was killed during a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on I-95.
Jesse Stotz, of Wallingford, was killed around 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, after losing control of his motorcycle on the northbound side in West Haven, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to state police, Stotz was negotiating a right curve, when he lost control and skidded. The motorcycle then hit the pavement, ejecting Stotz from the motorcycle.
Stotz, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene by a West Haven paramedic.

Former Fdny Firefighter From Westchester Dies From 9-11 Related Cancer
A retired FDNY firefighter from the area who responded to the 9/11 terrorist attack along with his older brother who was killed that day, has died from an illness related to his work at Ground Zero.
Westchester resident and Rockland County high school graduate Daniel R. Foley, 46, of New Rochelle, died Saturday, Feb. 22, from pancreatic cancer. His cancer was attributed to his rescue and recovery efforts at the site, according to the FDNY.

Woman Charged With Homicide In Death Of Pedestrian, Stamford Police Say
A Fairfield County woman has been charged with negligent homicide with a vehicle in connection with the death of a pedestrian.
Courtney Sabia, 24, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 21, for the Nov. 2019, death of Nancy Flores, 60, of Stratford, said Stamford Police Sgt. Jeffrey Booth.
Sabia's arrest comes on the heels of an investigation by the department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad that found Sabia allegedly responsible for the fatal event that took place in the area of Tresser and Washington boulevards.
