Stamford Police said on Twitter that Newfield Avenue will be closed from Grey Farm Road to Vine Road until further notice. There is a lockdown at Trinity Catholic High School, which is located nearby on Newfield Avenue. Police said action involves an "isolated incident." ID Released For Man Killed After Car Goes Off I-84, Into Woods Police have released the identity of a man killed during a single-vehicle crash in the area. It happened on Wednesday, Feb. 26 in Fairfield County. Harold W. Gilligan, 50, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was killed around 1:45 p.m. on I-84 in Newtown, said the Connecticut State Police. According to police, Gilligan was killed when the  2011 Infiniti sedan he was driving ran off the roadway and into a wooded area near Exit 10. Gilligan was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. There were no passengers. The crash remains under investigation.

School Bus Crash Leads To Road Closure A school bus crash led to the closure of a roadway due to a down utility pole and wires in the Hudson Valley. The single-vehicle crash took place in Ulster County around 7 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 27 on Pancake Hollow Road in Highland, said the New York State Police. Teen Busted With Stolen Gun, High-Capacity Clip, Police Say A 19-year-old Fairfield County teen who was already facing gun charges was busted again for allegedly having a stolen gun and for possession of pot. Elvis Almengot-Castillo, of Stamford, was arrested on Monday, Feb. 24, after officers with the Stamford Police Narc Squad received a tip the teen was selling drugs and was in possession of a gun, said Stamford Police Capt.
