Man Busted With Ecstasy, Pot During Routine Traffic Stop, Wilton Police Say
A 20-year-old area man was allegedly busted with drugs following a traffic stop for equipment and moving violations.
Cristian Velez, 20, of Norwalk, was arrested on Saturday, June 27, in Fairfield County following a stop by Wilton Police, said Wilton Police Lt. Robert Kluk.
According to police, Velez was stopped driving a white 2008 Nissan Altima near the intersection of Danbury Road and Cannon Road for equipment and moving violations.
During the stop, officers found that Velez was driving with a suspended license, and officers detected an odor of marijuana, Kluk said.

Jamie Monahan, the writer, director, and star of "Lucid," said the film takes place in a near-distant future and follows Charlie, a young woman undergoing virtual reality therapy after being sexually assaulted.

Amazon Prime Series Films In Hudson Valley
A new series that filmed in the Hudson Valley is set to premiere on Amazon Prime and Tubi.
The series, "Big Dogs," created by author Adam Dunn and based on his novels, was filmed throughout Orange County, with many locations in the city and town of Newburgh, and in Middletown, said the Orange County Tourism Office.

21-Year-Old Attacks Person With Garbage Can During Drinking Game Argument, Wilton Police Say
A 21-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for an incident in May in which he allegedly got into an argument during a drinking game and attacked a person with a garbage can.
Michael Tienken, of Wilton, in Fairfield County, turned himself into police on Friday, June 26, and was charged with third-degree assault, said Wilton Police Lt. Robert Kluk.
According to Kluk, on Tuesday, May 19, Tienken, and a third-person at the gathering got into an argument while playing a drinking game.

Man Nabbed In Connection With Two Armed Robberies In Area, Police Say
A man wanted for two armed robberies has been arrested.
Orange County resident Mark E. Jones, 62, of Newburgh, was arrested on Thursday, July 2, by the Town of Newburgh Police Department for the alleged robberies which occurred earlier this year, said Lt. James Nenni.
The first one took place on Sunday, March 1, at the Gidney Ave. Sunoco, Ninni said.
During the robbery, Jones allegedly entered the store and threatened the attendant with a knife while demanding cash, police said at the time.
