School Bus Clipped By Vehicle, Hits Long Island Home A small school bus crashed into a Long Island house after another vehicle clipped the bus. The incident took place around 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3 in Nassau County, at the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard in Cedarhurst. No students were on board and the driver was not injured, said Nassau County Police. The bus was from the Lawrence School District. The home was deemed safe with no major structural damage, officials said. The crash did cause a short traffic backup during rush hour.

The incident took place around 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, on Ocean Drive West in the Shippan neighborhood area of Stamford, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.
