Man Indicted For Murder Of Area Woman Whose Body Has Never Been Found
A man has been indicted for murder in connection with the death of a 36-year-old woman whose body has not been found.
Matthew Mercado, of Newburgh, was arraigned on Friday, Nov. 6, on charges including murder for the death of Jessica Lopez, a City of Newburgh woman, who was last seen on November 3, 2019, at the Windsor Motel in the Town of New Windsor, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.

Danbury Man Accused Of Assaulting Co-Worker In Westport
A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a co-worker in Fairfield County.
Ronal Polanco-Bolivar, 36, of Danbury, who was wanted on a warrant, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 3, after turning himself into Westport Police, said Lt. Anthony Prezioso.
The incident took place on Friday, Oct. 9, when the complainant came to police headquarters reporting that he had been assaulted earlier that same day while working at a Westport residence, Prezioso said.
The man alleged that he had been struck by Polanco-Bolivar, whom he identified as a co-worker.

Long Island Man, 22, Seriously Injured When Mercedes Crashes Into Two Pseg Poles, Police Say
A Long Island man was seriously injured his Mercedes crashed into two poles.
Liam Tomin, 22, of Southold, was injured around 11:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, during the crash on Route 25 in Southold, said the Southold Police.
According to police, Tomin was driving the 2004 Mercedes-Benz eastbound in the area of 64755 Route 25 when his vehicle left the roadway and collided with two PSEG poles.
Tomin was ejected from the vehicle during the collision.
He was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by the Greenport Fire Department with serious injuries.

CT State Police Seek Witnesses In Pair Of Crashes That May Involve A Pickup Truck
The Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a pair of crashes that may involve a light-colored pickup truck that was seen near both crashes.
The first crash took place around 1:09 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, on Interstate 84 in New Britain when a vehicle driven by Carl Neal, of Hartford, lost control and hit the metal guide rail, said the Connecticut State Police.
Police said Neal sustained suspected serious injuries.

ID Released For Man Found Dead At Fairfield Prep
A missing man whose body was discovered in the parking lot of Fairfield Prep has been identified.
The man, Earl Ingram of Wormwood Road in Fairfield, was found around 6:56 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, by the worker in the parking area of Fairfield University and Fairfield Prep, said Fairfield Police Lt. Antonio Granata.
First responders arrived on the scene and pronounced the 83-year-old man dead, who authorities say had dementia, at around 7:07 a.m., Granata said.
