Duo Nabbed For String Of Car Burglaries, Other Crimes On Long Island, Police Say
Two area men were arrested for alleged multiple crimes, including stealing credit cards out of vehicles and using them to make illegal purchases on Long Island.
Kevin Alvarado, 23, of Queens, and Jonathan Millan, 19, of Jackson Heights, were arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 10, by the Garden City Police Department in conjunction with the Old Westbury Police Department and the Nassau County Electronics Squad.

Woman Faces DUI Charge Following Crash In Fairfield County
A woman was arrested for alleged DUI after turning herself in to police for a crash that took place earlier this year in Fairfield County.
Blaine Stiegler, 32, of Westport, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 5, in connection with the crash which took place around 5 p.m., Saturday, August 22, said the New Canaan Police.
Stiegler turned herself in after a warrant was issued for her arrest, police said.
On the day of the crash, which took place on Silvermine Road, police said Stiegler had a blood alcohol level of .37 percent or more than three times the legal limit.
ID Released For Teen Killed In I-95 Crash In Norwalk
State Police have identified a teen who was killed after the vehicle he was a passenger in rear-ended a tractor-trailer on I-95 in Fairfield County.
Gerson Sebastian Urgilies, 18, of Corona, in Queens, was killed Wednesday, Nov. 11, around 9:30 p.m., near Exit 13
The crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. on southbound I-95, near Exit 13, near Norwalk, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to the accident report, the tractor-trailer truck was traveling southbound in the center lane when a 2012 Toyota Scion, driven by a 24-year-old New York man, slammed into the rear of the truck.…
Nurse Punched, Robbed Of Purse On Way To Work In Parking Area, Police Say
A nurse was robbed and assaulted in a parking lot as she was on her way to work.
The incident took. place around 6:15 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the parking area of Arden House at 850 Mix Avenue in Hamden, said Hamden Police Capt. Ronald Smith.
According to Smith, an investigation revealed that a 63-year-old nurse arrived at work, parking her motor vehicle in the parking lot. ID Released For 36-Year-Old Victim Of Fatal Rockland Crash
Police have released the identity of a motorcyclist killed during a crash with another motorcycle over the weekend in Rockland County.
Peter Etienne, 36, of Spring Valley, was killed around 11:05 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, in the area of West Nyack Road and Route 304, in Nanuet, said Clarkstown Police Officer Norman Peters.
According to Peters, Etienne, a lifelong resident of Spring Valley, was reportedly operating a motorcycle traveling northbound on Route 304, when he struck another motorcycle in the rear causing both operators to lose control.

Three Fairfield County Women Nabbed For Shoplifting In Separate Incidents In Area
Three Fairfield County women were arrested for shoplifting in separate incidents in the area.
Mildred Arroyo, 31, of Trumbull, was arrested by Milford Police on Thursday, Nov. 5, after police responded to Boscov's at 1201 Boston Post Road for a report of shoplifting, police said.
Arroyo is accused of allegedly stealing more than $360 worth of merchandise, police said.
She was charged with larceny and released on a promise to appear ticket.
