Covid-19: Popular Area Restaurant Closes After Employee Tests Positive A popular area restaurant has closed its door temporarily due to COVID-19. Known for its luscious burgers, wings, and specialty items, the Dutch Ale House, an Ulster County staple located in Saugerties, said on Facebook on Sunday, Nov. 15, that it was closing after an employee tested positive for the virus. These CT Communities Most Affected By Power Outages, Toppled Trees Some 19,000 Eversource customers are still without power early due to a powerful storm that moved across the region on Sunday, Nov. 15. As of 8:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 16, the company is reporting 19,021 of 1,282,551 customers across the region without power. Some of the highest outages remained in Darien with 1,707, Norwalk with 1,190, Westport with 884, Greenwich with 783, Wilton with 764, and Bethel with 278 as of 8:30 a.m., Monday. Westport Police Seeking Public's Help Locating Hit-Run Driver The Westport Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a vehicle and person involved in a hit-and-run crash. The crash took place around 3:26 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8, in the area of 30 Beachside Ave., said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso. During the accident, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that ultimately fled the scene. Some Schools In Fairfield County Are Closed Due To COVID, Power Outages Schools throughout Fairfield County are closed due to loss of power from powerful storms with strong wind gusts that moved through the area and new COVID-19 cases at other schools. The storm roared through the county on Sunday evening, Nov. 15, causing thousands of power outages and downed trees and utility wires. Long Island Man Attacks, Injures Two Police Officers A Long Island man was arrested for allegedly assaulting two police officers who responded to a reported disturbance. The incident took place around 11:55 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, on South King Street in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police. Northern Westchester Underage Drinking Detail Results In One Arrest A special state police detail in Westchester County aimed at cracking down on the sale of alcohol to minors led to the arrest of a Long Island man. On Thursday, Nov. 12, Troopers and members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation participated in an underage drinking detail throughout northern Westchester County, said Trooper AJ Hicks. 20-Year-Old Arrested For Alleged Theft At BJ's In Northern Westchester A Northern Westchester man was arrested for allegedly petit larceny at an area BJ's Wholesale Club. Raydee Delacruz, 20, of Yorktown, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 6, for a past theft at the store, said the Yorktown Police. An investigation found that on Wednesday, Oct. 28, Delacruz allegedly stole an iTouch digital watch valued at $79.99, police said. He was charged with petit larceny and released on his own recognizance.

Argument In Driveway Lands One Man In Hospital For PCP, Another In Cuffs, Police Say A fight between two men, including one from the Hudson Valley, landed one in the hospital and the other in handcuffs in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 12:10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, when Wilton Police responded to a home on Westport Road for a suspicious person complaint, said Wilton Police Lieutenant Gregg Phillipson. Westchester Man Nabbed Attempting To Fill Fake Prescription In Fairfield County, Police Say A New York man was arrested in Fairfield County in connection with allegedly attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription. Hadiya Nazha Ali, 21, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 28, after Greenwich Police received a call from a central area pharmacist that he suspected Ali of attempting to pass a fake prescription for a controlled substance, said Captain Mark E. Man Nabbed In Target Parking Lot Robbery, Police Say A man who allegedly robbed a couple at gunpoint who he met in a Target parking lot to complete an online sale, has been arrested. Michael Lockhart, 21, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 5, in connection with the Oct. 21 robbery in Ansonia, said Ansonia Police Lieutenant Patrick Lynch.
