Man Sentenced For Sexual Enticement Of Minor In Area
An out-of-state man was sentenced to 25 years in prison and lifetime supervision for enticing a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity in the area.
James Early, 40, of Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on Wednesday, Nov. 18, said Audrey Strauss, the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
The sentencing followed Early's guilty plea on November 13, 2019.

Man Accused Of Stealing $5K Golf Cart In Area
An Ulster County man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a golf cart.
New York State Police arrested Ulster County resident Etienne Dodge, 31, of Wawarsing, on Thursday, Nov. 12, for the theft which took place on Thursday, Nov. 5, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
According to Nevel, on Nov. 5, state police received a complaint of a stolen golf cart stolen from a local business in Accord.
The golf cart was valued at $5,000. After an extensive investigation and numerous interviews, the golf cart was located at Lower Jennybrook Road in the town of Wawarsing on Nov. 12, Nevel said.

Covid- 19: District In Fairfield County Recommends Parents Drive Kids To, From School
With an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases exploding across Connecticut, the state, and the Fairfield Public School District, is advising parents to drive their children to school.
The advisory, issued on Wednesday, Nov. 18, says given the current health data, "please consider driving your child to/from school, if possible."

Woman Charged With Leaving Kids Alone In Freezing SUV At Long Island Mall, Police Say
Police charged a Long Island woman with leaving her two children unattended in a freezing SUV while she shopped.
Guadalupe Guevara-Diaz, 27, of Brentwood, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 18, after officers responded to the parking lot of the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove in response to a 911 call reporting to young children alone in a vehicle, Suffolk County Police said.
When officers arrived on the scene around 6 p.m., they found two children, a 9-year-old girl, and a 3-year-old boy, alone in a parked 2008 Nissan Pathfinder, according to police.

Woman Kicks, Punches, Spits On Officer Following Long Island Crash, Police Say
A Long Island woman was arrested after allegedly attacking a police officer following a crash in which she could not provide proof of ownership of the Mercedes-Benz.
Charmaine Grant, 22, of West Hempstead, was arrested around 11:20 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17 in East Garden City, said the Nassau County Police.
