Driver Crashes Into Cars, Runs Off With Baby - Police Searching For Female Suspect
Police are searching for a female driver who allegedly struck seven vehicles before fleeing the scene on-foot toting an 8-month old infant in a baby carrier.
The incident took place around 5:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, when Hamden Police responded to the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Putnam Avenue on the report of a motor vehicle accident, said Capt. Ronald Smith.
An investigation revealed that a motor vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Dixwell Avenue, collided with two vehicles, before fleeing from the scene, Smith said.

Out-Of-State Woman Charges More Than $11K With Stolen Credit Cards, Police Say
An out of state woman was arrested for allegedly stealing credit cards from a vehicle in Fairfield County and then charging more than $11,000 in merchandise.
Constanza Maria Baltra-Moreno, 27, of Lawndale, Calfornia, was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 14, after New Canaan Police received a complaint of stolen credit cards from a vehicle that was parked at the New Canaan Mounted Troop, said Lieutenant Jason Ferraro.
The victim obtained information that her cards were used a short while later at the SoNo Collection in Norwalk, Ferraro said.

Drunk Naugatuck Motorist Injures Trooper, State Police Say
An area man was arrested after he was spotted allegedly swerving all over I-84, nearly hitting several vehicles while drunk and then injured a Connecticut state trooper.
Daniel G. Rapuano, 36, of Naugatuck, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 19, after state police responded to numerous 911 calls reporting an erratic driver on I-84, who was swerving across all three lanes and had nearly struck numerous vehicles, said the Connecticut State Police.
Several troopers responded to the area and spotted Rapuano east of West Hartford and were able to box him in and forced him to stop, state police said.…
Duo Arrested After One Flees Scene, Locked Himself In LI Restaurant Bathroom
Two Long Island men were arrested for alleged outstanding warrants and for one fleeing the scene and locking himself in a nearby restaurant bathroom.
Joshua Mordi, 23, of Valley Stream, and Deonte O'Connor, 23, of Uniondale, were arrested around 4:25 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19 in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers observed Mordi commit multiple violations while driving a red 2001 Acura northbound on Meacham Avenue.

An out-of-state man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for stealing millions of dollars raised from Long Island residents and professional athletes.
Tommy Constantine, 54, of Scottsdale, Arizona, was sentenced on Tuesday, Nov. 10, for stealing millions of dollars raised from Long Island residents and professional athletes that were intended for investment in land developments in Hawaii and a start-up credit card business based in Arizona, among other purposes, said Seth D. Intoxicated Long Island Man Drives Vehicle Into Canal, Police Say
A Long Island man was arrested he allegedly drove his vehicle into a canal while intoxicated.
Exel Argueta, 22, of Lindenhurst, was arrested around 10:40 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, in Copiague, said the Suffolk County Police.
According to police, officers responded to West Riviera Drive near the intersection of East Hampton Road after a 911 report of a vehicle in the canal.
When officers arrived, they found Argueta had exited the vehicle and was back on land.
The officers determined Argueta was intoxicated and arrested him for DWI.
