What's In A Name?: Fredericksburg Woman Who Faked Identity, Arrested A woman fled from law enforcement in Fredericksburg, when officers discovered she was faking her identity, officials said. At around 2:50 p.m. on August 7, Claire Kaus gave officers a fake name, birth date, and social security number in the area of the Red Roof Inn on Warrenton Road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. When police questioned Kaus, who had violated her probation, she messed up a fake social security number twice and proceeded to flee from the officer, authorities said. DC Gang Member Admits To Kidnapping Conspiracy That Led To Death Of 19-Year-Old A 23-year-old D.C. resident and street gang member pleaded guilty to a first degree murder charge, officials said. In 2019, Jordan Moreno, "Joker", and two other members of the "Tiny Locos Surenos" group in the 18th Street gang, kidnapped a woman who they believed was associating with another gang, MS-13, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Single-Car Accident In Stafford Kills 30-Year-Old Woman: Police A 30-year-old woman died after a single-vehicle accident in Stafford, police said. At around 8:20 p.m. on August 8, law enforcement reported to the area of 77 Bells Hill Road, where they found a BMW SUV that had struck a telephone pole and overturned, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Support Surges For Woman Struck By Lightning In DC Park On 28th Birthday Amber Escudero-Kontostathis turned 28 the day she was struck by lightning in D.C. Instead of celebrating, Escudero-Kontostathis is in the hospital with severe burns, fighting for her life, according to a GoFundMe page for her recovery. On August 4, Escudero-Kontostathis was working outside the White House to raise money for Ukraine, when she and three others were struck by lightning, DailyMail reported. She is the sole survivor. Woodbridge 85-Year-Old Dies From Injuries Sustained In July Crash: Police An 85-year-old Woodbridge man died of injuries he sustained from a July car accident, police said.At around 12:30 p.m. on July 15, Herbet Hawkins, who was turning left onto Caton Hill Road, collided with a Ford E-350 in an intersection, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
