Fleeing Home Depot Shoplifter Hits Three Vehicles, Police Cruiser In Escape, Police Say
Police in Fairfield County are searching for a gold Toyota Camry that allegedly hit three cars, and a police vehicle during a pursuit following alleged shoplifting at a Home Depot.
The incident began around 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, when Fairfield Police received a call from Loss Prevention at Home Depot, 541 Kings Highway Cutoff, reporting a known shoplifter was inside the store concealing items, said Lieutenant Antonio Granata.
Upon police arrival, the suspect, described as a Black male, fled in a gold Toyota Camry, with a Connecticut tag AK97634, Granata said.

Duo Nabbed On Long Island For Weapon Possession While In Stolen Mercedes, Police Say
Two men were arrested for possession of a weapon after they were allegedly found in a stolen Mercedes-Benz on Long Island.
Jamaine Hayes, age 19, of Queens Village, and Tyquan Marcelin, 24 of Elmont, were arrested in West Hempstead around 8:18 p.m., Monday, Feb. 8, by the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers responded to a call of a stolen vehicle in the area of 490 Hempstead Turnpike. When officers arrived, they located the stolen 2016 Mercedes-Benz with a man sitting in the passenger seat.

A Long Island man has been indicted for allegedly breaking into a woman's home and raping her before burglarizing her home and then returning two days later, this time wearing clown makeup.
Joseph T. Johnson, age 33, of Wyandanch, was indicted for the crimes on Wednesday, Feb. 10, as well for a string of car break-ins in the area, said Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy D. Sini.

A Long Island man has been arrested and charged with allegedly defrauding his former clients of more than $400,000 that he used to pay his personal debts and expenses, including casino gambling debts and credit card bills.
