Westchester Man Flees From Police For Having Expired Tag, Pills, Police Say
A Northern Westchester man was arrested after allegedly fleeing from police and resisting arrest after failing to stop for having an expired tag.
Michael Goldberg, age 29, of Yorktown, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 21, after Yorktown police spotted him driving with a suspended registration, police said.
According to police, instead of stopping, Goldberg fled at a high rate of speed and when finally caught on Hedge Street where he stopped, Goldberg resisted arrest and was found to have an active warrant and to be in possession of Alprazolam pills.

Man Accused Of Hitting Woman In Eye In Front Of Two Children In Area, Police Say
A 47-year-old man was arrested for allegedly hitting a victim in the eye while two children were in the room.
Ulster County resident Jarmel M. Anderson-Fialkow, of Saugerties, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 24, after police responded to a report of a physical domestic dispute in the town of Saugerties, said Chief Joseph Sinagra.
Following a police investigation, it was determined that Anderson-Fialkow had struck the victim in the left eye, causing injury, the chief said.

Man Accused Of Having DUI Three Times Legal Limit Following Fairfield County Crash
A local man has been arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol limit at more than three times the legal limit following a crash in Fairfield County.
Michael Zerdy was arrested on Friday, Feb. 19, for the incident which took place in November in New Canaan, said Lieutenant Jason Ferraro of the New Canaan Police.
According to Ferraro, Zerdy, age 40, of New Canaan, was driving in the area of Weed Street and Old Samford, when he crashed into a utility pole.

Northern Westchester Duo Nabbed With Edible Marijuana During Traffic Stop, Police Say
A duo from Northern Westchester was busted with a host of alleged drugs following a traffic stop in Fairfield County, according to authorities.
The incident took place in Greenwich around 2:20 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21, when officers pulled over a Hyundai with New York tags on a report of possible narcotic activity, said police.
The vehicle was found parked legally on the corner of Pemberwick Road occupied by two men who were later identified as Artem Golikov, age 24, of Armonk, and Evan Lasseter, age 18, of Lincolndale, Greenwich PD Captain Mark E. Zuccerella.

Man Caught With Stash Of Drugs, Cash, Police Say
A 47-year-old man was busted with an alleged large stash of drugs following an investigation into narcotics sales in the area.
Dutchess County resident Joshua Griffin, of Hyde Park, was busted on Tuesday, Feb. 23, by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force and Hyde Park Police Dept. and the DEA during a warrant search in Hyde Park, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the task force.
The search warrant was a result of an investigation into narcotics sales taking place at that location and the surrounding area, Tasciotti said.

Man Indicted For Violent Attack At Jail In Hudson Valley
A Rockland County man has been indicted for attempted murder stemming from a violent attack on a female corrections officer at the Rockland County Jail.
Israel Gourion, age 32, of Wesley Hills, was indicted on Tuesday, Feb. 23, on charges of attempted murder, assault, and strangulation, said Chief of the Rockland County Detectives Peter Walker.
Gourion was an inmate of the jail at the time of the attack. The case is being prosecuted by Supervising Assistant District Attorney Mike Dugandzic.

Man Nabbed For Prostitution, Sex Trafficking At Long Island Hotel, Police Say
A 36-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly promoting prostitution and sex trafficking on Long Island.
Robert Richards, age 36, of Springfield Gardens in Queens, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Rockville Centre following an investigation at an area hotel, said the Nassau County Police.
According to Narcotics Vice Squad detectives, an investigation at the Best Western located at 173 Sunrise Highway led to the arrest of Richards.
Richards was charged with sex trafficking and promoting prostitution.
He will be arraigned on Friday, Feb. 26, in Mineola.
