Northern Westchester Man Killed In Hit-Run Crash A 40-year-old man was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Northern Westchester. Demetrios Doupis, of Yorktown, was found on Route 6 in Yorktown around 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 after police received a call regarding a person lying in the roadway, said Lt. John Delulio. Health Aide Nabbed For Forgery/Theft At Fairfield County Senior Living Facility, Police Say An aide at a senior living facility has been arrested for allegedly fraudulently cashing a check belonging to one of the home's residents. Jodian Nunes, age 28, of Stamford, was arrested after police say they received a complaint that a current resident at a senior living facility in Darien had been notified by their bank about a possible fraudulent transaction. Dozens Of Goats Seized From Property In Fairfield County A large number of goats have been seized by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture from a Fairfield County farm after receiving a complaint about injured goats and general care issues. The seizure by a warrant, took place on Wednesday, March 10, with the assistance of the Town of Redding and the Redding Police Department, at 147 Cross Highway, in Redding, the department said. Man Charged In Attack Of Woman At Long Island Motel, Police Say A man was arrested for allegedly yelling"anti-transgender remarks" at a woman and then shooting her multiple times with a pellet gun at a Long Island motel. Shamel Wilkens, age 41, of Freeport, was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Monday, March 8, at the Budget Inn Motel, located at 400 Carman Mill Road. Man, Two Pets Killed In Overnight CT House Fire A 59-year-old man and two pets are dead following a house fire overnight. The blaze in Hamden was reported around 10:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, at 775 Hill Street after the fire department received numerous 911 calls from neighbors. Suspect At Large After Man Shot While Standing In Front Of CT Home Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help after a man was shot once in the lower body while standing on a sidewalk in from of a home. Man Violates Protective Order For Second Time In Fairfield County, Police Say An area man was arrested for the second time for violating a protective order in Fairfield County. Christian Toomey, age 36, of Bethel, was arrested by Westport Police on Monday, March 1, after the protected person came to police headquarters to report the violation, said Lieutenant David Wolf.
