Firefighters Revive Baby Boy In New Rochelle
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Firefighters saved the life of a baby boy on Monday night when the child's mother showed up at Station 3 in New Rochelle, frantically banging on the doors.
The woman arrived at the station with her unresponsive son around 7:15 p.m., desperate for help, said New Rochelle Fire Chief Louis DiMeglio.
A firefighter took the child and immediately performed CPR on the boy, while other firefighters gave him oxygen, and called an ambulance, and within a minute the boy had regained consciousness, DiMeglio said.

Man Threatens To Shoot Barbershop Staff, Customers In Beacon
A man was arrested after walking into a Beacon barbershop and threatening to shoot all the employees and customers while waving a handgun.
Kyle-Ray Stuyvesant, 28, was charged with felony criminal possession and use of a weapon and menacing, said Detective Lt. Louis Lucato.
The city of Beacon Police received a call on Friday, Oct. 27, for multiple subjects fighting in the roadway on Main St., said Lucato.

Brewster High School Instructor Had Sex With Student, Sheriff Says
PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- An instructor at Brewster High School is facing rape and other criminal charges in connection with an alleged sexual relationship with a student, said Putnam County Sheriff Don Smith.
Christopher L. Vlangas, 41, of Sherman, Conn., was arrested and charged Monday with engaging in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student in the towns of Southeast and Patterson, said Capt. William McNamara.
Vlangas faces multiple charges of statutory rape and a charge of criminal sexual act in the case, McNamara said.
