She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Police Search For Town Of Poughkeepsie Bank Robber After Crash The Town of Poughkeepsie Police is asking for the public's help in locating a man who robbed a bank Tuesday and then escaped in a vehicle before crashing it and getting away on foot. The incident began around 6 p.m. when police responded to the TEG Federal Credit Union at 11 Marist Drive for a reported bank robbery, said Capt. East Fishkill Teen Attempts To Run Down Larceny Victim With Car, Police Say An 18-year-old East Fishkill teen was charged with reckless endangerment and conspiracy after attempting to leave the scene of a theft and trying rundown the victim with his car. Theodore R. Hayes was arrested around 8 p.m. Dec. 31 after he attempted to flee the scene of a larceny and then tried to hit the victim with his car, according to Lt. James Janso of the Town of Lloyd Police. Hayes was arraigned and released following the incident. He is due to appear in court on Jan. 11.   The Lloyd Police were assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriffs Office.

Poughkeepsie Man Busted For Smoking Pot With Three Young Teen Girls A City of Poughkeepsie man was busted for smoking pot with three juvenile girls after being stopped for running a red light, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Tajai L. White, 20, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after deputies stopped his vehicle on Parker Avenue for running a red light, said Capt. John Watterson. During the stop, the deputy found three juveniles, ages, 11, 13, and 14, in the vehicle and a further investigation found that white had marijuana and had been smoking it with the teens, Watterson added.
