Kathy Reaks has worked as a reporter in the local news business since 1984, starting as a news clerk and working her way up. She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Employee Steals More Than 50K From Hudson Valley Employer, Police Say Police detectives, with assistance from the Rockland County District Attorney's Office, arrested a 59-year-old man for stealing more than $50,000 from his employer, the Dynarex Corporation. Richard F. Farrah of Bethel, Connecticut was arrested Jan. 25 on charges that as an international sales associate he falsified sales order in order to have the money come to him, instead of Dynarex, said the Orangetown Police. Greenwich Fraud Suspect Bought $2.4K Gucci Bag, $312 Jacket, Police Say A Greenwich resident was the victim of identity theft after a person made a fraudulent credit card transaction in their name at Saks Fifth Avenue worth thousands of dollars. Greenwich police said they are reviewing surveillance video after the resident reported to store security that someone had charged a $312 jacket and a $2,400 Gucci handbag on Friday while they were out of town, according to Lt. Woman Charged With Stealing Clothes From Westport Merchant A Hudson Valley woman involved in a clothing theft scheme in Fairfield County turned herself in after a warrant was issued for her arrest, according to Westport Police.
