Police Ask Public's Help After Several Vehicles Damaged In Poughkeepsie City of Poughkeepsie police are asking for the public's help in finding the person responsible for damaging numerous vehicles in the city. Police said they began receiving calls around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday of reports of spray paint damage to several vehicles in the area of Worrall Avenue, Fountain Place, and Forbus Street, police said.  Anyone with any information concerning this incident is asked to call the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department's confidential Tip Line at (845) 451-7577.

Airmont Garage Fire Quickly Extinguished Ramapo Police and the Tallman Fire Department responded to a garage fire Monday at a home on Ayr Court in the Village of Airmont.The fire, that began around 6:30 p.m., was quickly extinguished by firefighters from the Tallman, Suffern and Mahwah fire departments, said the Ramapo Police. During the fire, Ramapo police officers were quickly able to determine that all of the home's occupants escaped safely.  Rockland Paramedics and Ramapo Valley Ambulance were on standby at the scene, but there were no injuries reported.  The home did suffer serious damage as a result of the fire, police said…

Police said the woman found the unidentified 41-year-old man around 8 a.m. Wednesday on the bench, but he was not pronounced dead until doctors at Stamford Hospital tried to warm his body for about two hours, said the Advocate. Fairfield County Man Nabbed After Repeatedly Stabbing Roommate, Police Say A Stratford man is behind bars after stabbing his roommate repeatedly, according to Stratford Police. David Newman, 42, of 91 Gina Circle was arrested after he attacked his roommate on Tuesday, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. According to Eannotti, the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the residence while the two were arguing and Newman stabbed the rommate with a knife several times in the arm and shoulder. Norwalk Man Arrested For 2017 Murder A Norwalk man was arrested for murder Friday, March 9, in connection with the shooting death of Johnny Lezeau in July, according to Norwalk police. Jermaine Scott, 21, of Woodward Avenue, was arrested on a warrant following an investigation into the July 20 shooting of the 26-year-old man on Ely Avenue, police said. Lezeau was found with life-threatening wounds, at about 7:45 p.m. He was transported to Norwalk Hospital where he later died. Scott is being held on $1 million. He is set to appear in court later this month.

Westport Man Follows Woman Around Grocery Store, Out To Car, Police Say A Westport man was arrested on charges of breach of peace after following a woman around a grocery store and then out to her car, according to the Westport Police.The incident occurred Nov. 5 at the Fresh Market on Post Road East when James Lawrence, 52, followed the woman around inside the store and then stood outside the door of her car when she left the store, Westport Police said. Westport police were able to identify Lawrence and issued a warrant for his arrest. He turned himself into police on March 5 and was released after posting a $5,000 bond, police said. Boy Hit By Cab In Monsey A 12-year-old boy was hit by a cab in Monsey, injuring his leg, according to Ramapo Police. The boy was struck around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday by a livery cab at the intersection of Suzanne Drive and Maple Avenue, police said. The child, who complained of pain in his right leg was treated and transported by Hatzoloh EMS to Nyack Hospital, police said.  No summonses or charges have been filed against the driver.
