Stamford Man, 25, Caught Selling Heroin In Greenwich, Police Say A 25-year-old Stamford man was busted by an undercover cop selling heroin in Greenwich. Kevon Tracee Williams was busted on Friday, Oct. 19, after an undercover officer watched him make a hand-to-hand drug transaction on Putnam Avenue, the Greenwich Police said. Williams, while being advised of his rights, admitted to selling heroin, police said. He was charged with sale of narcotics and released on a promise to appear ticket. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 2.

Results Of Norwalk Liquor Compliance Check Announced Ten of 13 businesses visited during a liquor compliance check by Norwalk Police and the state Liquor Control Division passed without any issues.The check was held Friday, Oct. 19 at various locations within the city, the Norwalk Police said.  The non-compliant locations had violations ranging from underage consumption of alcohol to administrative violations.  Penalties include fines to suspensions of liquor permits based on previous violation history, police said.  Future operations have been planned for the upcoming months.

One Extricated After Car Overturns At Corner Of Routes 9A, 119 This story has been updated. Traffic was backed up following a two-vehicle crash at the corner of Route 9A and Route 119 in Elmsford. The incident took place around 9:15 a.m. Thursday when one vehicle hit another, sending it flying on its roof. One driver was able to get out of the car, but the woman in the flipped vehicle was cut out of her seatbelt by a Good Samaritan and pulled away. She was transported to the hospital for treatment, said the woman's husband.  The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Man, 44, Behind Bars After Assaulting Restaurant Manager In Greenwich, Police Say A 44-year-old man is behind bars after assaulting the manager of a Greenwich restaurant. Matthew Barnoski, of Avalon, New Jersey, was arrested Tuesday after Greenwich Police responded to a 911 call about an assault at the EastEnd Restaurant at 409 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich Police said. When officers arrived, witnesses told them that Barnoski had caused a disturbance and then assaulted the manager, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct and is being held at the Greenwich lock-up on $250 bond.
