'Donut Boy,' 11-Year-Old Who Gives Out Treats Nationwide, Makes Stop For Cops In Norwalk An 11-year-old boy from Alabama who loves to travel around the country handing out donuts to police officers is making a stop in the area. He was in Norwalk on Thursday, May 2 handing out donuts to show his thanks for the work they do. Tyler Curach, known as "Donut Boy," began handing out donuts to police across the country after giving a few to officers in his hometown while grocery shopping with his mother. Parents Claim Son Was Sexually Assaulted In Stamford School Bathroom The parents of a 5-year-old boy have filed a lawsuit claiming their son was bullied and sexually assaulted by another student in Stamford. The suit, filed in Superior Court, claims the principal and staff of Roxbury Elementary School in Stamford failed to keep the boy safe and violated state law by not reporting the incident, reported the Connecticut Post. Three Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash That Causes Hours-Long Merritt Parkway Closure Three people were injured during a three-vehicle crash on the Merritt Parkway. The crash took place just before 9:30 a.m., Thursday, May 2, northbound on the Merritt Parkway in Westport, reported the Westport Fire Department. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found multiple vehicles involved and people walking around the roadway, so a second engine was added to the assignment for manpower, the department said. Man Found Dead Near Off-Ramp On I-84 An area man was found dead on an off-ramp of I-84 in Danbury by a worker in the area, said the Connecticut State Police. The body of Herbert Ruehle, 63, of Carmel, was discovered around 11:10 a.m., Thursday, May 2, after troopers from Troop A-Southbury were dispatched to the area of I-84 eastbound, Exit 4 on-ramp in Danbury for a suspicious incident, said the Connecticut Stae Police. Three Teens Arrested For Conspiring To Detonate Bomb At Connetquot High School Suffolk County Police arrested three teenagers for conspiring to build a bomb to detonate at a Bohemia high school. Fifth Precinct officers responded to Connetquot High School, located at 190 7th St., on Thursday, May 2, after a school administrator called the police to say he was informed by multiple students that they overheard three students during the bus ride home on Wednesday, May 1, discussing building a bomb to detonate at the school, police said. Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Two-Vehicle West Islip Crash A motorcyclist received serious, but non-life threatening injuries, following a two-vehicle crash in West Islip. The crash took place around 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 2, on Montauk Highway at Pat Drive, said the Suffolk County Police. The motorcycle rider was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment, police said. There was no report of the extent of injuries to the other driver. The crash is under investigation. Man Pretending To Be Grandson Tried To Scam Bellmore Man Of Thousands, Police Say A man pretending to be a Bellmore man's grandson attempted to scam the grandfather out of thousands of dollars. The incident took place around 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, when Rafael Sanchez, 37, of Manhattan, called the 72-year-old man and pretended to be his grandson, said the Nassau County Police.
