Drunk Driver, 23, Faces Multiple Charge After Crash That Killed Passenger From Stony Point
A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with a fatal crash that killed a 22-year-old Rockland County resident.
Jarret June, of Fort Carson, Colorado, was arrested on Saturday, May 25, and charged with vehicular manslaughter, reckless endangerment, two counts of DWI, and reckless driving, following the crash that left Nicholas Keefer of Stony Point dead, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas.
Stony Point officers responded to the crash around 3:40 a.m., Saturday, May 25, on Beach Road in Stony Point, said Hylas.

Police Ask For Driver Of Commercial Vehicle, Motorists To Assist In I-84 Fatal Shooting Probe
New York State Police are asking the public and the driver of a commercial vehicle for help with information regarding an officer-involved shooting that left one man dead.
Luke H. Patterson, 41, of Tannersville, was shot and killed by a state trooper after being stopped walking along I-84 around 12:55 a.m., Thursday, May 23, in the town of Montgomery.

Massive Search For Teen Swimmer Who Went Missing In Candlewood Lake
A massive search is continuing for a missing 17-year-old teen who went missing on Monday, May 27, while swimming with friends at Candlewood Lake in New Milford.
The search, which many are now calling a recovery effort, began around 4 p.m. on Monday when three teens reported that one of their friends had not surfaced after going underway, said News 12.
Searchers, including K-9s, divers and local police marine units as well as Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, Newtown Underwater Search and Rescue and New Milford Rescue, worked until dark.

Two Caught In Stolen Land Rover In Elmont, Police Say
Two men were arrested on grand larceny charges after allegedly being caught inside a stolen vehicle in Elmont.
Fifth Squad detectives report the arrest Rohed Naeem, 24, and Othello Mallay, 23, addresses unknown, around 8:42 a.m., Saturday, May 25, after responding for a stolen vehicle report and found the two inside a 2019 black Land Rover, Nassau County Police said.
During an investigation, detectives determined that the vehicle was stolen and the two men were in possession of additional stolen property, police said.

Suspect Threatened To Shoot During Dunkin’ Robbery In Fairfield, Police Say
Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a busy Dunkin' Donuts on Route 1.
The robbery took place around 2 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, at the Dunkin' at 593 Post Road, said Fairfield Police Lt. John Bucherati.
The cashier told officers that a black male, with a thin build, in his 40’s, wearing a red jacket and hat came into the store and threatened to shoot her, Bucherati said.
"The male implied that he had a gun, however, no firearm was displayed," he added.
The suspect took an undetermined amount of cash from the register and fled the store, police said.
