Route 172 Reopens Following Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash This story has been updated. A busy Bedford roadway has reopened following a single-vehicle crash that injured a 17-year-old girl. The crash took place around 8:20 a.m., Monday, June 10, on route 172, (South Bedford Road) lost control of her vehicle and hit a guardrail and rolled over, said Bedford Police Lt. Andrew Bellantone. The girl was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Westchester Medical Center, with unknown injuries, he said. "She was alert and talking when we reached her," he said." Area Man ID'd As Motorcyclist Killed In Route 17 Crash A 35-year-old area man has been identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash on Sunday, June 9. Anthony D. Santiago of Garnerville was killed around 4:05 p.m., on Route 17 in Orange County, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. The crash took place when Santiago lost control near Exit 127 in Chester and struck the northern guardrail, Nevel said.
