Uber Driver Sexually Assaults Juvenile Passsenger, Fairfield Police Say
An Uber driver was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile girl while giving her a ride, Fairfield Police said.
Police learned of the alleged attack on Saturday, July 13, when the father of the juvenile victim called Fairfield Police to report that while receiving a ride from Stone Lane in Fairfield, the driver, Dwaine Miller, 31, of Bridgeport, "made unwanted sexual contact," with the girl, said Fairfield Police Lt. Robert Kalamaras.
In addition to making sexual contact, Miller also allegedly made overt sexual advances, Kalamaras said.

Stony Point Man Hits Woman In Head During Domestic Dispute, Police Say
Stony Point Police arrested a 57-year-old man for allegedly injuring a woman during a domestic dispute.
Thomas Murphy, of Stony Point, was arrested around 1-:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, and charged with assault and harassment, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas.
Murphy was arrested after officers responded to a request for an ambulance for a 59-year-old woman with an injury, Hylas said.
Once the scene, the woman told officers that Murphy allegedly struck her in the head with his fist during a domestic argument and caused a cut over her eye, police said.

Police Seize Heroin, Cocaine During Early Morning Bust In Area
Two people were arrested by Deerpark Police following a five-month investigation into illegal drug sales in town.
Donald Collier, 39, and Ashley Collier, 30, both of Cuddebackville, were arrested on Friday, July 12, during the execution of a search warrant around 5 a.m., with the help of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, said Deerpark Chief of Police Richard J. Sztyndor.
Inside of the residence police located 97 bags of heroin and 13 grams of loose heroin.19 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale was also recovered, said Sztyndor.

Area Man Admits To Illegally Selling Sharks
An area man who was arrested in March for having live sharks in his basement has pleaded guilty to the crime.
Joshua Seguine, 38, of Lagrangeville, admitted Friday, July 12, to keeping live Sandbar sharts, a protected species, and attempting to sell them over the internet, said New York Attorney General Letitia James and Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos.
According to the felony complaint, Seguine came to the attention of DEC Law Enforcement in July of 2017, after he was found in possession of five undersized sharks in the back of his truck.
