She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. New Round Of Measles Vaccination Clinics Scheduled In Rockland With 282 confirmed cases of measles in Rockland County since the outbreak began in October 2018, county health officials have announced another round of free vaccine clinics in August. Missing Mom Case Remains 'Very Active' Two Months After Her Disappearance, Police Say New Canaan Police announced on the two-month anniversary of the disappearance of Jennifer Farber Dulos, a New Canaan mother of five, that the investigation remains "very active." In a statement, Lt. Jason Ferraro said that since police received the missing person report at 6:59 p.m., on Friday, May 24, a massive search has been underway for the 50-year-old woman who was known for her dedication to her children. Police Cruiser Involved In Crash With Motorcycle In Rockland A police department vehicle was involved in a crash with a motorcycle in Rockland County. The crash occurred 9:30 p.m. on Route 45 in Hillcrest, just north of Williams Avenue in Hillcrest, the Ramapo Police Department said. The motorcyclist was transported to Westchester Medical Center where he is currently in stable condition. The police officer was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. He was treated and released, the department said. The Ramapo Police Crash Investigation Unit is investigating. No further information was available from police.

8-Year-Old Girl Killed At Area School By Heavy Piece Of Furniture An 8-year-old girl was killed when a large cabinet at her school fell on top of her, according to New York State Police. Ruchy Friedich was found dead around 2:37 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, when state police responded to a medical emergency in Orange County at the Kiryas Joel Union Free School at 7 Isreal Zupnick Drive, said Trooper Steven Nevel. 25-Year-Old Found Dead At Area Shopping Plaza A 25-year-old man was found dead after police received a "man down" call at an area shopping plaza. The incident took place around 8:44 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, when 911 dispatchers received a call for a report of a man down on the ground at the Oakridge Plaza, at 960 Violet Ave., in Hyde Park, said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson. Drunk Wilton Man Drove Nearly Twice Speed Limit, Police Say A Wilton man was arrested for driving under the influence after he was stopped for allegedly driving at nearly twice the speed limit. Damian Pielesz, 32, was arrested on Sunday, July 21, around 9:08 p.m., after being stopped by Wilton Police for traveling 78 mph in a 40 mph zone in the area of Danbury Road, said the Wilton Police Department. Serious Crash Causes Bear Mountain Bridge Road Closure Bear Mountain Bridge Road was closed during part of the morning commute due to a crash with reported injuries in Cortlandt. The crash, which took place around 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, closed the road between Annsville Circle and the Bear Mountain Bridge, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks. Hicks said the crash involved two vehicles and minor injuries. Tow trucks were on the scene, Hick said. "At least one of the vehicles crossed the double yellow on the curve in the road," he said. "It's a difficult spot to remove the injured and vehicles."

Man Caught With Cocaine During Traffic Stop In Area, Police Say A Poughkeepsie man was allegedly nabbed with cocaine during a traffic stop. Hector R. Ramos, 32, was arrested following a stop on Main Street on Monday, July 22, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Officer Matthew Galli. A police investigation found that Ramos was allegedly in possession of approximately 1.5 grams of cocaine and that he was driving without a valid license, Galli said. Ramos was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving without a license. He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond.
