Fighting Couple On Side Of Road Nabbed With Drugs, Police Say
An argument on the side of the road led to the arrest of a couple on drug charges in Fairfield County.
Robert Franklin, 31 and Tanaisha Burrus, 27, both of Bridgeport, were arrested around 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, after the department received a report of an argument that had taken place on the side of the road between a man and a woman, said Monroe Police Lt. Stephen Corrone.
The vehicle was reported to be a white Chevy Malibu with a Maine registration plate. Monroe officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Mobil Gas Station, at 405 Route 111, he said…
Doctor From Queens Admits To Accepting Bribes, Kickbacks In Exchange For Prescribing Fentanyl
A prominent oncologist pleaded guilty to accepting bribes from a drug maker in exchange for prescribing a powerful form of Fentanyl.
Dr. Dialecti Voudouris, 48, of Queens, who practiced in Manhattan, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the anti-kickback statute, in connection with a scheme to prescribe Subsys, a potent fentanyl-based spray, in exchange for bribes and kickbacks from Subsys’s manufacturer, Insys Therapeutics, said Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Know Her? Police Look To ID Suspected Post Road Purse Thief
Police are asking the public for help identifying a woman wanted in connection with a larceny investigation.
According to police, on July 6, Milford Police was notified of a missing purse left unattended at Dave and Busters, 1201 Boston Post Road, in Milford, said Officer Joseph Dempsey.
Video surveillance showed the female complainant leave her purse behind at a table after playing a game. About 30 minutes later a group of four people walks into the same game area with the purse still on the table, he said.
