Swastikas Found Carved Into Starbucks Bathroom Door In Rockland The discovery of two swastikas carved into the bathroom door of a Starbucks in Rockland County has drawn ire from both local and state officials. It's also caused officials to hammer the Starbucks' management in Nyack where the event took place more than three weeks ago, was not reported to police, and the fact that the swastikas were still visible, said Rockland County Executive Ed Day. Mom Dies After Being Stabbed 30 Times In Brutal Cheshire Domestic Attack A Connecticut mother has died after being stabbed more than 30 times allegedly by her angry husband while her two children cowered in another room. Monica Dominguez, of Cheshire, was found in a pool of blood on the floor, stabbed more than 30 times when police responded to a domestic violence call at her home on Wednesday, Sept. 11, according to police. Man Nabbed For Burglary After Pawning Items He Stole, Westport Police Say Westport Police nabbed a man wanted for a June burglary after records revealed that he had allegedly pawned some of the items stolen. Driver Killed After Crossing Yellow Line, Crashing Into School Bus, Police Say The driver of a Lincoln MKX was killed after crossing the double yellow line on Route 52 and striking a school bus, said the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office.The crash took place around 745 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16, on Route 52 at the Liberty/Fallsburg town line, said Undersheriff Eric Chaboty. East Hampton Man Charged With DWI Following Crash An East Hampton man was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing his vehicle while allegedly drunk, police say. Wilson Guerrero, 50, was arrested around 2 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 26, on East Hampton Drive, said the East Hampton Police. When officers approached the vehicle they reported detecting a strong odor of alcohol, police said. MTA To Spend Unprecedented $5 Billion For Metro-North, Including Access To Penn Station After years of rider complaints and problems with the entire infrastructure system, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced it plans to invest an unprecedented $51.5 billion into the region’s subways, buses, and railroads over the next five years. Man Arrested After Repeatedly Entering Westport Home He Didn't Own, Police Say A man who claimed to own a home that he kept walking into, was arrested by police for criminal trespass and burglary.
