She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Teen Critically Injured After Crashing Into Tree In Area A 19-year-old area resident has been placed into a medically induced coma after crashing her vehicle into a tree. The Dutchess County crash took place around 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, on Linden Avenue, north of Park Avenue in Red Hook, said Red Hook Police. Red Hook officers arrived on scene within one minute of being dispatched and located a vehicle off the east shoulder of the roadway into a tree. Greenwich HS Grad From Newtown Killed In I-84 Wrong-Way Crash Funeral services have been set for a Newtown business owner and Greenwich High School graduate who was one of two people killed in a wrong-way crash on I-84. According to Connecticut State Police, Diego Fernando Jimenez, 48, of Newtown, died following a wrong-way crash around 1 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, on I-84 in Southbury. State Police said the crash occurred when David Hozer, 46, of Southbury, was traveling the wrong way on westbound I-84 when his 2011 Audi Q5 struck a limousine Jimenez was driving. Montauk Man Accused Of Growing Marijuana Plants On His Property A 56-year-old Montauk man was nabbed by East Hampton Police for allegedly growing marijuana on his property. Joseph Noll was arrested on Sunday, Sept. 8, after police found marijuana growing on his property on Fleming Road without destroying the plants, East Hampton Police said. When police visited the home they found two potted plants on the north side of his home. He was charged with unlawfully growing cannabis and released on an appearance ticket.

26-Year-Old Charged In Strong-Arm Robbery Of Woman In Westchester A 26-year-old man has been charged with the alleged strong-arm robbery of a woman in Westchester. The incident took place around 8:20 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, when Tarrytown Police on patrol responded to the area of Croton Avenue and Hamilton Place, on a report of a strong-arm robbery that had just occurred, said Lt. Swastikas Found Carved Into Starbucks Bathroom Door In Rockland The discovery of two swastikas carved into the bathroom door of a Starbucks in Rockland County has drawn ire from both local and state officials. Mom Dies After Being Stabbed 30 Times In Brutal Cheshire Domestic Attack A Connecticut mother has died after being stabbed more than 30 times allegedly by her angry husband while her two children cowered in another room. Man Nabbed For Burglary After Pawning Items He Stole, Westport Police Say Westport Police nabbed a man wanted for a June burglary after records revealed that he had allegedly pawned some of the items stolen. Driver Killed After Crossing Yellow Line, Crashing Into School Bus, Police Say The driver of a Lincoln MKX was killed after crossing the double yellow line on Route 52 and striking a school bus, said the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office.The crash took place around 745 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16, on Route 52 at the Liberty/Fallsburg town line, said Undersheriff Eric Chaboty.
