Body Found Floating In Water Off Stamford Marina Stamford Police found a body floating in the water off Cummmings Park Marina after receiving a 911 call from a boater. The body was discovered around 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 19, after a boater in the channel off West Beach came upon the body, said Stamford Police Lt. Michael A. Noto. Seventh Vaping-Related Death Reported As NY Becomes Second State To Ban Flavored E-Cigarettes As a seventh vaping-related death has been confirmed, New York has now become the second state to ban flavored e-cigarettes. Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued an "emergency executive action" on Sunday, Sept. 15, that bans the sale of flavored e-cigarettes in the state. It went into effect Tuesday, Sept. 17. The incident took place around 7:22 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, when a 2016 school bus was traveling northeast making a left onto Quaker Road off the exit 13 ramp in the town of Haverstraw, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. Person Seriously Injured After Falling Or Jumping Onto I-95 In Westchester, Police Say Two southbound lanes of I-95 in New Rochelle have reopened after a person either fell or jumped onto the highway from an overpass, according to the New York State Police. The incident took place around 10:08 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18 at the Webster Avenue overpass in New Rochelle, said Trooper Tara McCormick.  The lanes were closed between Exits 15 and 16, McCormick said. The person, who has not been identified, suffered extensive head injuries and was transported to an area hospital, she said. Motorists are advised to avoid the area as police investigate the incident, she added.
