18-Year-Old Woman Nabbed For Stealing Wallet At Area Bookstore, Police Say An Ulster County woman was arrested for allegedly stealing a wallet out of a woman's purse at an area bookstore. Lisa D.Vandersanden, 18, of Kingston, was arrested around 10 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 30, and charged with grand larceny, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra. Vandersanden was arrested following a police investigation into the alleged theft of the wallet at the Inquiring Minds Book Store in the Village of Saugerties. Man Arrested After Destroying Ex-Girlfriend's Property In Area, Police Say A 21-year-old man was arrested after allegedly forcing his way inside his ex-girlfriend's mobile home and destroying her property. Alexander C. Cisneros, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was arrested around 2:40 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, after police responded to a complaint of a domestic incident at the Little Falls Trailer Park, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Man Arrested After Attacking Several People During Dispute, Police Say A 44-year-old man was arrested after allegedly kicking down a door and attacking several people, punching them in the face during a domestic dispute. William Green Jr., of the City of Poughkeepsie, was arrested at 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, after Town of Poughkeepsie police responded to a report of domestic violence at the Vassar Garden Apartments, said Capt. Michael O'Dowd. When officers arrived at the apartment they found Green being restrained on the ground by another man, O'Dowd said. ID Released For Man Killed On Snowmobile In Area A man killed during a snowmobile crash in the area has been identified by New York State Police. David White, 34, of Campbell Hall, was killed at 10:20 a.m., Monday, Dec. 2, after crashing a snowmobile into a tree on Quarry Road in Campbell Hall in Orange County, said Trooper Steven Nevel. When police arrived on the scene they found White near the sled, Nevel said. An investigation revealed that White lost control of the snowmobile and struck a tree and was ejected.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  Nevel said White was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Stabbing Under Investigation, Bethel Police Say Police are asking the public for help regarding a stabbing that took place in the area. The stabbing took place in Bethel on Midway Drive during the early morning hours on Saturday, Nov. 30, Bethel Police said. The warning, issued in Dutchess County, said a rabid raccoon had been captured in the Village of Tivoli near the intersection of Broadway and Montgomery Streets. Man Killed On Snowmobile In Area Click here for an updated story: ID Released For Man Killed On Snowmobile In Area A man was killed during a snowmobile crash in the area. The incident took place in Orange County around 10:20 a.m., Monday, Dec. 2, when the driver of a snowmobile struck a tree in the area of 45 Quarry Road in Campbell Hall, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. According to Nevel, the man, who was pronounced dead on the scene, has not been identified. Troopers are still on the scene conducting an investigation. This is a developing story. Photos: Deer Makes Itself Right At Home For Thanksgiving In Easton Police had to take care of a breaking and entering case on Thanksgiving Day in Fairfield County, but it was quickly solved. A deer jumped through a large picture window of an Easton home on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 28. Once inside, the deer couldn't seem to find its way back out and wandered around the home since no one was on hand to offer some help.  After wandering around inside the house for about a half-hour, the deer was able to be shooed back outside by officers. Luckily, the deer didn't do much damage and was not injured.
