Long Island Man Nabbed For Hit-Run Crash That Injured Pedestrian, Police Say
A Long Island man has been arrested for leaving the scene of a crash that seriously injured a pedestrian last month.
Daniel Gianotti, 22, of Elmont, was arrested on Tuesday, March 10, for the crash that occurred on Sat., Feb. 22, in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, a 41-year-old woman was attempting to cross the Hempstead Turnpike to Evans Avenue, when she was was struck by a gray 2012 Honda Civic that was making a left turn from Hempstead Turnpike onto Evans Avenue.

Covid- 19: Stamford Senior Center Suspends Programs
Amid the spread of the novel coronavirus, another Fairfield County senior center has suspended its programs.
The Stamford Senior Center announced on Wednesday, March 11 that out of an abundance of caution, they will temporarily suspend all programs and activities beginning on Thursday, March 12.
No cases of COVID-19 have been reported at the Senior Center, nor is there an outbreak in the City of Stamford at this time, said Christina Crain, executive director of the center.

Long Island Man In Mercedes Nabbed For Exposing Genitals At Least Five Times, Police Say
A man driving a black Mercedes wanted for at least five incidents of allegedly exposing himself to women on Long Island has been nabbed by police.
Corwinn Hall, 27, of Bellport, was arrested on Wednesday, March 11, for five counts of public lewdness and one count of attempted robbery, following an investigation that began in February, said the Nassau County Police.

Covid- 19 Patient Reportedly In Coma As Wilton Issues Protocols
A Wilton man suffering from the novel coronavirus is reportedly in a coma at an area hospital.
The Wilton resident who was confirmed with the virus on Sunday, March 8, has been put in a medically-induced coma, his wife told the Connecticut Post.
The man, between his 40s and 50s, began feeling ill after attending a cybersecurity conference in California on Friday, Feb. 28, and by Monday, March 2, he had a fever.
