97-Year-Old Long Island Woman Rescued From Tiny Crawl Space, Police Say A 97-year-old woman was rescued after becoming stuck in a 4-foot crawl space at her Long Island home. The incident took place around 11:25 a.m., Wednesday, March 18, when police responded to Lagoon Boulevard in Massapequa, said the Nassau County Police. The woman was removed from the small crawl space by first responders and transported to an area hospital.  Police were not sure how the woman became stuck in the space or the extent of her injuries.

Teenage Sisters Reported Missing In Fairfield County Located Safe, Police Say Two teenage girls who had been reported missing in Fairfield County have been found. Silver Alerts had been issued on Tuesday, March 17, by the for the two Bridgeport girls, who are sisters. The girls were reported located by the Bridgeport Police Department. I-684 Crash Sends Car Into Woods, Injuring Driver One lane of I-684 in Northern Westchester was closed due to a single-vehicle crash that injured one person. The crash took place around 9:21 a.m., Wednesday, March 18, northbound on I-684 in Armonk, when a vehicle overturned and landed in a wooded area, said New York State Police. According to state police, the right lane of traffic was temporarily closed for removal of the vehicle. The person received minor injuries, said Trooper AJ Hicks. SUV Crashes Into Utility Pole In Trumbull A single-vehicle crash took out two utility poles and injured one person in Trumbull. It happened on Tuesday, March 17, on Reservoir Avenue in Trumbull, said the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Department. When crews arrived on the scene, they found an SUV had plowed into a utility pole, with one person injured, the department said. Firefighters secured the scene and EMS took care of the patient.
