Covid-19: Norwalk Restaurant Owner Accused Of Allowing Customers To Drink At Bar A Norwalk restaurant owner has been issued a summons after allegedly allowing people to drink in his restaurant violating the governor's executive order prohibiting such actions during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Covid-19: Walk-In Testing Site Opens In Rockland A new walk-in novel coronavirus (COVID-19) testing site will be opening in a hard-hit area of Rockland County. The Town of Haverstraw will have the testing site set up by noon Wednesday, April 28, according to state Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski. Haverstraw was selected use to its high infection rate, some of the highest in Rockland County, with virtually no private or public testing available. Fairfield County Couple Asking Public For Help Locating Stolen Dirt Bikes An area family is asking for help from the public locating two dirt bikes stolen out of a pickup truck. Jen Danise said the two bikes were stolen out of the back her husband's pickup truck between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., at the Good Shepherd Hill Condominium Complex in Danbury. The stolen vehicles are described as being a blue and white 2008 Yamaha YZ250F and a red and white 2006 Honda CRF80. Man Violates Protection Order, Threatens To Kill Victim, Police Say A 28-year-old man who allegedly violated an order of protection was arrested after attacking and threatened to kill another person who came to the aid of the victim. Ulster County resident Edward J. Thieves Still Busy Stealing Vehicles In Fairfield County, Police Say The theft of vehicles has become a pretty common occurrence in many cities and towns in Fairfield County. During the early morning hours of Saturday, April 25, two Trumbull residents had their vehicles stolen from their driveways, as the vehicle theft trend continues throughout the area and state, said Trumbull Police Lt. Covid-19: Latest Rundown Of Rockland County Cases By Municipalities Rockland County continued to see a dip in the number of new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) for a total of 11,453 cases. That number released on Tuesday, April 28 represents 87 new cases reported on Monday, April 27, down from 110 on Sunday, April 26, according to the state Department of Health. There have been 494 deaths from the virus in the county, Rockland County Health officials said. Stamford Couple Nabbed With Cocaine, Police Say Two Stamford residents were nabbed with a little over an ounce of alleged cocaine after being stopped by police who had received word the two would be making a delivery. Mark Borsey, 56, and Shameka Frederick, 30, both of Stamford, were arrested on Friday, April 24, by members of the Stamford Police Department's NARC Unit, said Captain Richard Conklin. Man Nabbed Driving BMW With Stolen Tags After Tossing Trash Out Window, Police Say A 62-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving a vehicle with stolen tags after he was stopped for making a U-turn and throwing garbage out of the car.
