Woman Nabbed With Crack, Heroin At Area Hotel, Police Say
A 47-year-old woman is behind bars after police responded to a hotel for a report of a dispute.
The incident took place around 12:22 p.m., Thursday, May 7, in Sullivan County when members of the Monticello Police responded to a report of a dispute at the Inn at Monticello, said Monticello Police Lt. Mark Johnstone.
When police arrived on the scene, they found they interviewed Delma Padilla, of the Bronx, and then stood by while as she gathered her belongings and called for a taxi, Johnstone said.

Man Chokes, Assaults Woman During Domestic Dispute, Police Say
A 28-year-old area man turned himself in to police following a domestic dispute in which he allegedly choked and assault a woman.
The arrest stems from a domestic dispute that took place on Sunday, May 3, in Ulster County, said Lt. Scott D. Butler of the New Paltz Police Department.
When police responded to the home around 10:45 p.m., they interviewed the victim who said Michael G. Detheridge, of Wappingers Falls, had allegedly choked and assaulted, including pushing her and causing her head to strike a kitchen counter, Butler said.

Couple Accused Of Hitting Woman In Face, State Police Say
A couple who allegedly hit a woman in the face and head during an argument and then stole her cell phone were arrested for third-degree assault.
The incident took place on Thursday, May 7, in Ulster County, when New York State Police responded to a home in Accord after receiving a 911 call from the victim, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
Once on the scene, the victim told troopers Richard Ronda, age 41, and Julie Ronda, age 36, both from Accord, had come to her home to confront her over a previous incident.

Person Shot While Driving Crashes Vehicle, Police Say
Police are investigating a shooting incident in which a person who was shot while driving crashed the vehicle, injuring a passenger.
The incident took place in Fairfield County around 9:18 p.m., Sunday, May 10 in the area of Vine Street and Park Avenue in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, the city’s emergency manager.
Once on the scene, Bridgeport police found the driver had been shot while driving, causing them to crash the vehicle, which injured the passenger, Appleby said.

Covid- 19: Here's Latest Update On Number Of Dutchess County Deaths, Cases
Dutchess County continues to experience new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, but the number of new daily infections has lowered since the outbreak began in early March.
As of early Monday, May 11, state Department of Health officials said since the beginning of the pandemic there are 3,359 cases of COVID-19, with 40 new cases reported on Sunday, May 10.
Currently, there are 2,200 active cases, with 56 people hospitalized, Dutchess County Department of Health information reveals.
There have been 101 COVID-19 deaths reported in Dutchess and 998 people have recovered.
