Willie Singleton, 48, of Bay Shore, died after being struck by an impaired 19-year-old Bentley driver in Massapequa on Saturday night, April 19, Nassau County Police said.

A 40-year-old Budd Lake man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on the afternoon of Thursday, April 10, authorities said.
At 12:21 p.m., officers observed a GMC pickup truck traveling west on Route 46 fail to maintain its lane, Mount Olive police said. The driver, Drew Monarque, was pulled over and officers detected an odor of alcohol on his beverage, police said.
Following field sobriety testing, Monarque was placed under arrest, police said.
He was charged with DWI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and failure to possess an insurance card, police said.
