Man Takes Fatal Leap From GWB: Police A man died after climbing over a fence and jumping from the George Washington Bridge Wednesday morning, authorities said. Port Authority police received a report that the man climbed over the fence on the bridge's Northwalk and jumped at approximately 8:43 a.m. on Sept. 9, authorities said. The man's body was recovered by the NYPD, according to Port Authority police.
