Teen Cyclist Struck By Vehicle On Route 40: Twp Of Hamilton Police A 17-year-old riding an e-bike was struck by a vehicle on Route 40 in Township of Hamilton on Saturday, July 26, authorities said. At 9:08 p.m., a 2014 Cadillac Escalade, driven by a 55-year-old Millville man, was traveling eastbound on Route 40 when it struck the e-bike, which was being ridden by a 17-year-old Mays Landing resident. The teenage boy was not wearing a helmet and sustained non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation, police said. The driver was not injured, police said. Charges are pending further investigation, police said.

Man Drove Drunk With Daughter In Car: Washington Township PD A man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated while his 6-year-old daughter was in the car in Washington Township on Friday, July 25, authorities said. Employees at Nifty Fifty’s restaurant on the Black Horse Pike observed a man accompanied by a small child, exhibiting signs of intoxication, Washington Township police said. Abandoned Dog Found Tied To Tree: Montgomery Police A dog was found abandoned in Montgomery on Friday, July 25, authorities said. At 7:47 p.m., a caller told officers they were walking along a path on Suffolk Lane when they heard a dog barking near the utility building, Montgomery police said. The caller found the dog tied to a tree, police said. Animal control took custody of the dog, police said. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
