Truck Hauling Pesticide Overturns On Route 78: Njsp A truck hauling pesticide overturned on Route 78 in Somerset County Saturday morning, July 19, authorities said. At 6:20 a.m., a tractor-trailer was traveling west on Route 78 when it lost directional control, causing it to run off the road, strike an exit sign and light pole and overturn, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Elizabeth Truck Driver Killed in NJT Crash In Edison: Njsp A 26-year-old Elizabeth man was killed in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Edison early Sunday morning, July 20, authorities said. At 4:12 a.m., Mairon Gonzalez-Ramirez was driving a Freightliner M2 north on the New Jersey Turnpike in Edison when he lost control, overturned and struck a guardrail, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Gonzalez-Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.

14-Year-Old Cyclist Killed In Crash: Somers Point PD A 14-year-old Egg Harbor Township cyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash with a car on Thursday, July 17 in Somers Point, authorities said. At 7:58 p.m., officers responded to Maryland Ave. and the Bike Path for a crash between a vehicle and a pedal cyclist, Somers Point police said. The 14-year-old was airlifted to Cooper Trauma Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the vehicle and three juvenile passengers were not injured, police said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.

Motorcyclist Killed In Gloucester Township Crash: Police A motorcyclist was killed in a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV in Gloucester Township on Sunday, June 20, authorities said. Man Charged With Murder In Asbury Park Shooting: Prosecutor A 19-year-old Asbury Park man was arrested and charged with murdering a teenager in April, authorities announced Friday, July 18. Jordan Glisson is charged with the fatal shooting of Ah'kim Esdaile, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.
