Brewster Man, 33, ID'd As Homicide Victim At Danbury Condo Complex
A Brewster man has been identified by Danbury Police as the person shot and killed during an incident at a condo complex.
Jason James Lowry Hoffman, 33, was shot and killed early Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Sterling Woods Condominium complex, in Danbury, Connecticut, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams.
According to Williams, several people have been interviewed, but the person responsible for the shooting has not been identified or charged.

Swastika Found Scrolled In Long Island Park
A swastika was scrawled in black on a walking trail in a park on Long Island.
The swastika was first reported around 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 31, at Sunshine Acres Park, in the Town of Huntington, by a 911 caller, said the Suffolk County Police.
Huntington Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci urged residents on Tuesday, Sept. 3, to report suspicious activity and instances of hate to police or town officials.
“The swastika is symbol meant to threaten and intimidate and this demonstration of hate will not be tolerated in the Town of Huntington,” said Lupinacci, who visited the park.

Video: Police Seek Public's Help Identifying Witnesses Of Bridgeport Homicide
Bridgeport Police are asking the public for help in identifying persons of interest and potential suspects in the murder of a Monroe man.
Jose Perez-Ortiz, 41, was killed around 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1, outside a store at Shelton Street and Noble Avenue, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police
According to Jones, video surveillance in the area shows Perez-Ortiz attempting to stab a man who then pulled a gun and fired, striking him.
First responders rushed Perez-Ortiz to Bridgeport Hospital where he later died, Jones said.

Area Man Accused Of Raping Minor Several Times, Police Say
A 58-year-old area man has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor several times.
Robert T. Bruno, of Newburgh, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 4, by Saugerties Police and charged with four counts of second-degree rape, criminal sex act, and third-degree rape, all felonies, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra.
Bruno's arrest stems from an investigation after a report was made accusing him of having sexual intercourse with a minor, Sinagra said.
