She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Man Found Shot In Pickup Truck On Long Island Highway Police are asking the public for help after finding a man shot inside a vehicle at the intersection of Northville Turnpike and County Road 58. Riverhead Police discovered the man around 10: 11 p.m., Friday, Sept. 6, after receiving numerous 911 calls reporting a vehicle crash and a possible shooting, said Riverhead Police Det. Mark Stromski. Woman, 21, Struck By SUV Near Long Island Elementary School A 21-year-old woman received minor injuries after being struck by an SUV near an elementary school. The woman was struck about 8:50 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, by a 2006 Ford Expedition on Broadway Avenue, near Merrimac Elementary School, in Holbrook, said the Suffolk County Police. Driver Who Caused Two-Vehicle Sprain Brook Crash Flees Scene, State Police Say A driver who allegedly caused a two-vehicle crash on the Sprain Brook Highway, closing three lanes, fled the scene, state police said. The crash took place around 2:05 a.m., Monday, Sept. 9, when one of the vehicles was allegedly cut-off by a Kia on the highway in Greenburgh, causing the vehicle to brake sharply and was then rear-ended, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
