Covid-19: Here Are New Jones Beach Testing Hours A drive-through novel coronavirus (COVID-19) testing site on Long Island is up and running and doing a brisk business. The site, located at the West End of Jones Beach is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Currently, only people who make appointments are being allowed to be tested. The mobile labs have the capacity to test approximately 200 to 250 cars daily.  Getting an appointment does not require a doctor. Residents can call 1-888-364-3065 for appointments or see if they qualify.

I-84 Reopens Following Rollover Crash Both lanes on a section of I-84 have reopened following a single-vehicle crash in the area. It happened around 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, in Dutchess County near Exit 17 in Holmes, New York State Police said. The roadway was closed for at least an hour following the crash in which the vehicle, reportedly involved in a police pursuit, overturned.
