A popular line of minifridges is being recalled after several overheated and caught fire, officials said.
Cooluli is recalling about 250,000 of its 10-liter and 15-liter minifridges, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, Aug. 13. An electrical switch in the minifridges can short-circuit, posing fire and burn hazards.
There have been at least 19 reports of the minifridges "smoking, sparking, burning, melting, overheating or catching fire." One person reported a smoke inhalation injury, while the incidents caused more than $80,000 in property damage, according to …

A Capital Region woman has been arrested for driving drunk with an unrestrained child in her vehicle, police said.
Rebecca L. Hayden, 36, of Ballston Spa, was pulled over on Wednesday, Aug. 5 on Ballston Avenue in Saratoga Springs, New York State Police announced Friday, Aug. 14.
Cops found the child, who was under age 16, inside the vehicle, police said. They were turned over to a family member.

Two Women Threatened With Gun In Capital Region, Suspect Arrested: Police
A Capital Region man who threatened two women with a gun on Thursday night, Aug. 13 has been arrested, police said.
Nasir R. Smith, 22, of Albany, was involved in an altercation with the two victims, then pulled a gun on them, the Albany Police Department said Friday, Aug. 14.
Cops responded to a residence on Elm Street near Delaware Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Thursday for a call about an armed individual, authorities said. Smith was arrested at the scene.
