A former NYPD sergeant has been indicted on charges that she fraudulently collected more than $132,000 in salary and overtime pay by claiming to work hundreds of hours she never actually worked, prosecutors announced.
Rayna Rampaul, 42, of Queens, who was formerly known as Rayna Madho, has been charged with second-degree grand larceny and four counts of first-degree falsifying business records, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced on Tuesday, June 9.

A 57-year-old convicted arsonist was ordered detained after another arson in Atlantic City, authorities announced Wednesday, June 10.
On Monday, June 1, Atlantic City police responded to reports George Jones, a Halfmoon resident, had set several fires at and within the city's Korean War Memorial, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
